They're open
They are a family owned company and are not restrained by their own hours or demand. They remain open until all donuts or sold or 5 PM, whichever comes first.
I dont believe so.
They do have Lilikoi donuts. You would probably have to special request a extra large one though.
These donuts are legit! They’re soft and delicious, not mass produced. They have clever recipies, like this banana, bacon & peanut butter! Very expensive with several varieties at nearly $6 EACH, hence the four stars.I can’t afford to come here often but totally worth a treat once in awhile. Finally, If you found this review helpful, stoke my ego and click the Thumbs Up icon below.Mahalo!
Amazing donuts.!! Great treat.
Blueberry fritter as large as a dinner plate and so amazing and delicious! Go in just to hear the speech on items they offer each day!
The donuts here are good! They have unique flavors and they’re pretty big. My friends got the Boston Crème and Strawberry. I got the lemon frosting with fresh berries (bottom left). So good!
Don't get me wrong, there good donuts. The reason for the 2 starts is because there is no price anywhere to let you know the cost of each one or a dozen. So at the point of purchase and toy see the total... just be ready to eat a $7 donut
Amazing donut shop with gourmet donuts. Great variety and always fresh. They are always baking. Great service and very courteous staff. They are closed Sundays which makes sense since their donuts are heavenly. They have another location mainland, in Tucson, AZ which is also wonderful.
Came here an hour before closing so it seemed like most donuts were gone. Seems like they had some interesting flavors like the caramel mac nut one. Was a good combo of sweet and salty. $5 for a donut though. (They we’re giving a free donut since it was end of the day if you bought a certain amount)
This is a must stop if you're a donut lover. They have best malasadas I've ever had. Thank you Holy Donuts!
So incredible ! A different bite of delishisness in every creation. Super friendly staff. Did I say it was tasty ? You must go !
I had one donut. That’s all it took to inspire me to leave a 5 star review. Literally the best donut I’ve ever had in my entire life.
Super friendly and patient staff. She explained what each beautiful food creation was and told us her personal favorites. We ended up with a maple bacon concoction that was amazing and a boston creme donut that was also killer. Glad we don't live in Kona or my diet would be destroyed by this place! Just a few yards off the main touristy shopping drag, and totally worth the detour while walking the strip.
Stumbled on this gem with my wife. Neither of us really eat donuts, but the allure of the artistry drew us in. A verbal description of every donut was given to us, and we were floored by the combinations and pride that went into them. The price was a little shocking, but they were BIG donuts. Once you take a bite, you'll realize that almost every cent you spent, went into those works of art. OUTRAGEOUS in every possible GOOD way!
Pros:Amazingly puffy donut with just right sweetness.Cons:No price info whatsoever before you check out - which surprises you as each donut is over $5 (I was expecting $3 range.) Would be great if price tags or menu is provided - this way less people will complain about the donuts being expensive as they know what they are buying before checking out.
Prices are a tad high, but the array of unique flavors make up for it. Always love coming here!
A bit tucked away I saw this spot on Google maps and thought I'd try it out for breakfast 1 day. The man in front of me in line got a dozen donuts and paid almost 100 bucks!! I was a bit hesitant. I have never paid $5 and change for 1 donut in my life, but hey, I'll try it once. These are GIANT donuts and most of them are either generously filled and/or topped with whatever sweet concoction they happened to come up with that day apparently (as there didn't seem to be a standard menu and I had to ask what the donuts were as there is no signage). I picked a Chantilly cream filled donut and I have zero complaint. Was a great donut. Worth doing. Bring wallet.
Very popular and great donuts. We were in town with the Pride of America cruise ship. My wife wanted donuts and I wanted shaved ice. I got my shaved ice at One Aloha Shave Ice and it was great. We had already chosen Holy Donuts from google maps but when we asked One Aloha about Holy Donuts they started raving and told us what flavors to get but that it sells quickly. We got there at 1:19 and bought 4 great donuts which left only 2 for sale. We didn't get the recommended flavors as those were gone but our's were still great. The weird part happened when we returned to the cruise ship to eat our donuts in the aloha cafe and pool areas. FIVE different crew members in separate locations saw our Holy Donuts box and wanted to talk about them. Great donuts and obviously locally famous.
Incredible donuts. We Loved the sugar coated cinnamon roll donut. Suggestion: craft and sell a signature cold beverage with variable sweet/bitter flavor range.
My wife forces me to find a donut shop whenever we are traveling. She loves to try different donuts. She said her donut her was good, BUT... we had to pay ten dollars to park, and the donuts were five dollars each! Basically, we paid $20 for two donuts! All I wanted was a simple glazed donut, but they had already run out of them. I learned this AFTER I paid $10 to park. So I got some other donut with some kind of filling in it. It was OK, but it wasn't worth $5, and it definitely wasn't worth the $10 it cost me to park.
Delicious donuts, I ordered chocolate chip creame pie. Rich Creame on top and chocolate filled donut just made my day. Too good
Went in Saturday morning and bought a cinnamon roll, the plain one, no cream cheese, no glazing. It was giant...it is worth every penny...and it was the best, softest best cinnamon roll I have ever tasted.
This place is amazing. $5 per donut and it's worth every penny. They'll tell you about every donut that's in the case, you can't go wrong. As a Canadian I will admit this place is better than Tim Hortons, literally the best donut I've ever had in my entire life. If you're looking for a donut in Kona EAT HERE!
Holy Donuts was a morning treat. The young lady was polite and the locals recommend all the donuts. These holy donuts are made fresh daily and open until the last donut so come early and sit on the porch and enjoy my favorite the banana cream.
This was an awesome donut best I have ever tasted. I had the maple bar with bacon and my husband had the pineapple fritter. They were light and fluffy and wonderfully good. Thank you
First of all, you won’t see the place from the street, you have to park and go looking for it or acess it from the eastern end paid lot. I stopped there at around 3pm and it didn’t seem like much. Just a fee choices left and the store looks run down. But the girl at the store was very friendly and offered to name all the available choices to me. Donuts that were on display looked amazing, and i picked raspberry one. It was delicious. Only problem? It cost almost $6 for one! There is a reason why they don’t have prices visible. It’s a tourist trap and i feel sorry for the family who walkes out $30 lighter because of few donuts. I wouldn’t come again because the prices are outrageous. But once i had the donut in my hand I couldn’t say no. LolNot much of Holy, but ‘holy cow’!
BEST donuts on the big island! The variety is really crazy. They have some regular favorites but every time we go they also have some new creations to try. The meringue with passion fruit filling is awesome. Kids love the Elvis. The pineapple macadamian nut fritter, white chocolate and raspberries, and . . . you get the point. AMAZING!
Amazing donuts! Soft as a pillow and lots of great flavors. Plenty of seating outside. The only downside is that it's hard to find. It's tucked away, off the main street. Be patient, it's worth it!
So, so good. This place is a must go donut shop.
It's easy to make assumptions about donuts. This place defies them. We went close to end of day and were given extra free one. Great move as it encouraged our return. Really yummy.
These donuts are huge. You will want one of every flavor!
